Privacy Fact Sheet

Last updated: 31 July 2026

A plain-English summary of how ProfitIQ handles your personal information. This Fact Sheet doesn’t replace our full Privacy Policy, which is the legally operative document — if the two ever conflict, the Privacy Policy applies.

Who is ProfitIQ?

ProfitIQ is profitability intelligence software for Australian residential builders and tradies, connecting to tools like Xero and MYOB to show real-time margins, costs and cash flow.

What personal information do you collect?

Mainly your name, email, phone number and business details; login and billing information; data pulled from accounting tools you connect (like Xero or MYOB); documents, plans and photos you upload; and basic usage data about how you use our website and app.

Why do you collect it?

To run your account, calculate job profitability, process payments, provide support, keep the product secure, and — where you've said yes — send you product updates and marketing.

Do you use AI with my information?

Yes — features like Plan Intelligence use AI to read documents you upload and help surface profitability insights. These tools support your decisions; they don't make decisions about you or anyone else without a person reviewing them.

Do you share my information with anyone?

We share it only with service providers who help us run ProfitIQ (like hosting, payment and AI processing providers), our professional advisers, and regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other ProfitIQ customers.

Does my information leave Australia?

Some of our service providers may store or process information overseas (for example, cloud hosting or AI providers based in the United States). Wherever that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is still protected.

How do you keep it safe?

We use technical and organisational safeguards — such as access controls and encryption — to protect your information, and we follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme if something ever goes wrong.

What are my rights?

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, opt out of marketing at any time, and make a complaint if you think we've mishandled your information — including, if you're not satisfied with our response, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
